Change Management

The people side of change is often overlooked, underestimated, and poorly planned for. Through our Change Management services, we can help your organization proactively plan and prepare for change, whether it’s resulting from a system implementation, process project, or external factors. We utilize a proven approach to help you understand the key changes and their impacts on your employees and external stakeholders, including from a perspective of DEI. We work with your project teams to create a plan to proactively manage these impacts. 

MC2 guides your organization through the phases of the transition, from the old processes and systems to the new. We start with a clearly articulated vision of the change developed inclusively with stakeholders. We then enable successful adoption through communication, sponsorship, readiness assessments, training, and coaching. We utilize the Prosci ADKAR model and other OCM best practices along with our depth and breadth of experience to create a tailored approach. We determine what will work best for you and your stakeholders based on your organization’s unique characteristics, dynamics, and environment.

Business Process Improvement

MC2 can help your organization systematically redesign your processes to improve efficiency, customer service, and equity. We utilize Lean, a proven approach for process improvement, to help our clients determine how they can provide the greatest amount of value to their customers with the least amount of waste. Through research and benchmarking, we help you align your business processes with industry standards and best practices.  

We start every improvement project by helping you clarify your improvement goals. Then we form a project plan that will meet those goals in a way that is inclusive of employees and external stakeholders. We are highly skilled at bringing together diverse, cross-functional teams of employees and other stakeholders in a way that builds ownership and creates lasting change. 

Organization Development

Sometimes process or systems improvement is not enough to reach your goals, and organizational improvements are needed. MC2 can help you to understand where your organization structure or culture are holding you back and enable you to make lasting improvements. Culture change is never easy, and culture improvement initiatives often fail. Reasons for failure include: underestimating the challenges, not building adequate ownership, and lack of a plan to systematically address the root causes of cultural issues. Our approach increases your chance for successful culture change by starting with a comprehensive, foundational assessment to understand your behavioral norms and the underlying causes driving them. We then engage all levels of your organization to co-create a vision and plan for an improved culture including values, behaviors, practices, and supporting systems.

Information Technology Analysis

Prior to selecting new systems, it is important to fully understand your business needs and evaluate options to ensure you are choosing the best course for the long term. To understand your business needs, we start by examining your business processes to determine how technology can enable you to reach your improvement goals. We then work with you to identify and evaluate your options including custom developed vs. off-the-shelf, and software as a solution vs. in-house maintained.

Once you decide which option best supports your goals, we guide you through defining detailed, measurable requirements that can be used to evaluate commercially available options or provide a starting point for custom development. For software selection we lead you through a comprehensive selection process, involving your employees in an inclusive way to create buy-in, increasing the likelihood of a successful implementation.

Independent Quality Assurance for Information Technology Projects

IT projects are a major investment, with much complexity and opportunity for things to go awry. This can lead to projects that are over budget and behind schedule. An independent Quality Assurance (QA) review to identify risks early on allows projects to achieve their goals within budget and schedule.  

When we are contracted for independent QA, we bring together a seasoned team of consultants to review project plans and control systems. We keep a pulse on the project through interviews of key team members, and provide periodic check-ins on the health of your project management processes. Our highly experienced consultants, together with our checklists based on best practices, allow us to zero in on areas that will provide the highest impact to keep your projects on track.
